Strength Looks Different Every Day

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're honored to share the story of Lindsay Reinks, a member of the Bombshell community whose journey is a reminder that strength doesn't always look the way we expect it to.

At 34, Lindsay was diagnosed with stage 2A triple-negative breast cancer. After surgery, eight rounds of chemotherapy, and a month of radiation, she finished active treatment in June 2026 cancer-free. But as Lindsay has learned, finishing treatment doesn't mean the journey is over. Recovery is a chapter of its own.

"I learned that strength can look like a lot of different things."

For Lindsay, some days strength meant going to the gym. Some days it meant simply showing up for treatment. And other days, it meant staying in bed and giving her body the time it needed to recover.

Through it all, the people around her reminded her she didn't have to be strong alone.

"When I couldn't show up for myself, my people showed up for me."

Finding Strength in Movement

Fitness had always been a big part of Lindsay's life, and during treatment, movement became one of the things that helped her continue to feel like herself.

Getting out of bed, putting on a matching set and moving her body gave her a sense of routine and normalcy during a time when so much had changed. And when her body needed rest, she learned to listen.

Today, Lindsay is learning to appreciate her body for where it is now rather than comparing it to who she was before cancer.

"I'm learning to celebrate what my body can do today instead of waiting until I'm 'back' to feel proud of myself."

A Full-Circle Moment

Lindsay's connection to Bombshell started long before her diagnosis.

Years ago, after an experience that left her questioning what she should or shouldn't wear, Lindsay discovered Bombshell and bought a pair of green leggings with white stripes. For her, choosing those leggings was a small but meaningful act of reclaiming her confidence.

"Buying those leggings felt like taking some of my confidence back."

Years later, during chemotherapy, Lindsay repurchased that same green set. Putting on a Bombshell matching set and moving her body became one of the ways she held onto a sense of herself during treatment.

Now, sharing her story with Bombshell during Breast Cancer Awareness Month brings that journey full circle.

For Every Woman Going Through It

When asked what she would tell another woman facing breast cancer, Lindsay's message is simple:

"You can do hard things, and you are not alone."

Lean into the people who love you. Accept help. Move your body when you can. Rest when you need to. Let yourself feel the good days and the hard ones, too.

Most importantly, give yourself patience and grace.

"Your best will look different every day."

Celebrate every win, no matter how small.

Because strength isn't always another rep, another mile or another personal best.

Sometimes it's getting out of bed. Sometimes it's accepting help. Sometimes it's giving your body the rest it needs. Sometimes it's doing one small thing that makes you feel like yourself again.

And sometimes it's simply making it through today.

"You are so much more than your cancer."

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we celebrate Lindsay and every woman finding strength in her own way. Every step forward matters. Every win deserves to be celebrated. And every story deserves to be heard.
